MER’s ninth release is a compilation album that distills the essence of jazz-funk—a genre that took the world by storm in the late 1970s through the early 1980s—and reimagines it through the lens of contemporary electronic music.

MER “Cyber City Connection” ranges from synthwave characterized by pulsating basslines and vintage synth riffs to romantic electro-funk/R&B and soundtracks evoking near-future sci-fi worlds.

MER “Soul Funk Ska Moods” includes groovy & upbeat ska/rocksteady mixes of Tatsuya’s past songs, also deep downbeat tracks reminiscent of traditional UK & Jamaican dub sounds.

“Anti-Crime Breaks” is a collection of thrilling and badass jazz-funk and breakbeat tracks reminiscent of soundtracks from the late 70’s crime action and detective movies.
