Tags: Dance, Electronic, Funk, and Rock. Categories: Captain Funk and Model Electronic Releases.

Model Electronic, Tatsuya’s record label, releases Captain Funk’s albums “Heavy Metal” and “Heavy Mellow” on May 9th, 2007. These albums are his first releases as Captain Funk in seven years.

While “Heavy Metal” features twelve tracks filled with bold and energetic electronic rock feels, “Heavy Mellow” includes twelve tracks displaying more melodic, romantic electronic pop vibes. Besides Tatsuya himself, Hitoshi Arai (Northern Bright / Ron Ron Clou), Raj Ramayya, Meri Neeser, and Krusher from France participated as vocalists.

These two albums reflect Tatsuya’s diverse musical achievements in these years, such as releases and live performances as OE and various collaborations and remix works with/for other artists & musicians.

“Heavy Metal” includes a full version of “Boogie Electricland,” which was featured in Sony Ericsson’s TV commercial “W44s.”

(Addendum)
All the tracks in these two albums are included in 2013 releases “Chronicles 2007-2013, Vol. 1 & 2,” which are literally the collection of tracks which have been produced since 2007 under the moniker of Captain Funk.
