Upgrading “Us” – Why We Create Music

(This was reprinted from the article I had written on Model Electronic blog, on Apr 20, 2013. And it was modified in May 2017.)

Yesterday I thoroughly revised “About” and its related pages which have not been updated since Oct 2010. The original version was a bit formal and stilted like you could often see on many corporate websites. So, I have always felt that didn’t only sit right with me but also didn’t reflect enough what we are now or what we have achieved so far.

While terms like “Music Label” or “Music Licensing” are helpful to define us as a music company, these words just describe consequences or objective functions of What We Think and Do on a daily basis. I realized I should put such monotonous description on the back-burner and focus more on Why We Do. This is a “version 2013” of our manifesto. I hope this will help you to understand us.

Why We Do

We want to bring you “Wow!” experiences and galvanize your life, regardless of whether you are a listener or a company. We believe the magic and potential of (electronic) music, especially as a storyteller and a motivator.

What and How We Do

1. For Listeners

We bring freshness, excitement, and dicovery to your music life. Also, we push the envelope to make our music original and remarkable so that it can not be easily substituted by other artists’ music.

With our music, we help to enhance your creative project, i.e. to bring the best strategies to use our music for telling your story.

We’re not just a “music supplier.” Nor are we a production music company. Despite being a small independent company, we have a creative edge, passion, and skill which could enhance your business.
