Album Description

Dark Model is a project by music producer Tatsuya Oe, also well-known as Captain Funk, featuring epic and emotional orchestral electronic sounds. In contrast to the previous work, “Impulse,” which showcased a contemporary futuristic sound world, this album, true to its title, features relentlessly powerful tracks that weave a highly dramatic story.

The album opens with the high-tension track “All Fired Up,” followed by “Under Siege,” which impresses with pulsating basslines and marching drums. “Perfect Enemy” displays an aggressive mid-tempo electro style, essential to Dark Model’s works. Tracks like “Unstoppable,” “Starchaser,” and “Enter the Battlefield” combine uplifting electronic beats with Dark Model’s signature storytelling approach. The downtempo tracks “Vigilant Eyes” and “Vagabond,” with their cyberpunk flavor, serve as scene changes from the aforementioned high-tension pieces.

“Remembrance” is the album’s sole melancholic instrumental ballad. The grand battle story concludes with the soundscape “Pulse of the Desert,” leaving a cinematic afterglow.
