Backstory

Tatsuya had his creative peers Paradise Jam, a group of visual designers at the helm of Koji Ikuta, make this 55-min animation movie for his “Here and You” tour. He had a concept in mind to perform his songs from the album as a band in sync with CG animated films. The gigs were held on Nov 2nd & 3rd, 2002, at Club Quattro in Tokyo and Osaka. Oe and Paradise Jam continued to work together to push forward the idea of “synchronized live performance,” which reached results in the following event on May 24, 2003, “OE Electronic Sound and Vision Collection (Discover your style),” sponsored by mod’s hair at Aoyama Spiral Cafe. Using a 5.1 channel surround sound system and a bigger stage and screen, they updated their achievement at the “Here and You” tour.

While the 2002 tour was named after OE’s release “Here and You,” half of the songs Oe performed were not included in the album but newly arranged or composed from scratch for the gig. Those unreleased songs such as “Tessera,” “Helicity,” “It Happens” were refined and included in the 2004 release “Director’s Cut.”
